Pocket Option Review 2026

Pocket Option is a binary options brand operated by Infinite Trade LLC through a chain of offshore registrations in the Marshall Islands, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, and the Comoros island of Mwali. The retail front is a polished mobile app with more than half a million monthly visits worldwide. The reality behind the polish, when you trace the corporate paperwork and the regulator filings, is one of the most heavily flagged operations in the offshore binary options space.

Three separate things have happened to this operator in the past three years that any prospective trader needs to know about. First, in July 2023, the Mwali International Services Authority suspended Infinite Trade LLC’s license. Pocket Option still displays that same suspended MISA license on its website today, in 2026. Second, in February 2026, the UK Financial Conduct Authority reconfirmed its warning that the firm is unauthorised and is targeting UK residents without permission. Third, the Israel Securities Authority has opened a criminal probe into Pocket Option for illegal binary options marketing inside Israel, a country that made the product itself illegal in 2017.

Our CLEAR™ investigation gave Pocket Option a failed score of 0.3 / 5, placing it firmly in the severe-risk zone alongside MTrading and Plexytrade. You can verify the broker’s current risk status yourself using our CLEARCheck™ Broker Risk Scanner.

What is new in 2026: Israeli criminal probe and the suspended MISA license

Two regulatory developments from the past twelve months change the risk profile materially for any trader still considering Pocket Option.

Israeli Securities Authority criminal probe

In late 2025 the Israel Securities Authority opened a criminal investigation into Pocket Option for marketing binary options to Israeli residents, a practice Israel outlawed in 2017. As Finance Magnates reported, investigators are mapping the broker’s Israeli marketing channels and victim accounts. Ahrefs traffic data on 29 May 2026 confirms Israel is still sending the platform 4,895 organic visits per month plus a further 3,170 paid Google Ads visits, meaning Pocket Option is actively spending money to acquire users in a country whose authorities have made the underlying product illegal and are now investigating the marketing of it. Any Israeli reader of this article is exposed to two separate legal risks: trading an illegal product, and using a platform that may face enforcement action while holding their funds.

MISA license suspended 11 July 2023, still displayed in 2026

Pocket Option’s primary regulatory claim shifted to the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA), a body that licenses offshore companies on the Comoros island of Mwali. According to investigative reporting by BrokersView, MISA suspended Infinite Trade LLC’s license on 11 July 2023. The Pocket Option website nevertheless continues to display that suspended MISA license today, in May 2026, almost three years after the suspension. Doing so on a financial services site is a textbook misrepresentation of regulatory status.

MISA’s authority itself is questionable. The Central Bank of Comoros has publicly stated that MISA is not a legitimate financial regulator and that the Comoros government has not delegated authority to license offshore financial services platforms to the Mwali island authority. So even the suspended license, were it still active, would not be a credible Tier-1 regulatory framework.

What this means in plain language: Pocket Option claims to be regulated under MISA. MISA suspended their license in 2023. The Central Bank of Comoros says MISA wasn’t a real regulator to begin with. The Israeli authorities have opened a criminal probe. The FCA reconfirmed their warning in February 2026. There is no remaining good-faith reading of the regulatory situation.

Regulatory Red Flags: A Four-Country Shell Game With Zero Real License

The brand is operated by Infinite Trade LLC, with corporate filings tracing through Gembell Limited (Marshall Islands), PO Trade Limited (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, 793 LLC 2021), a serviced corporate registration at C/O LC02 503, Choc Bay, Castries, Saint Lucia, and the suspended MISA license on the Comoros island of Mwali. Tifiya Group s.r.o., a Czech entity, is linked to the payment flows. None of these jurisdictions issue Tier-1 financial services licenses recognized by the FCA, ASIC, CySEC, BaFin, FINMA, the SEC or the CFTC.

The address the FCA Warning List currently uses is the same Saint Lucia drop-address. The SVG Financial Services Authority publicly states that it does not regulate forex or binary brokers. The Marshall Islands have no equivalent of the FCA, ASIC or CySEC. And the IFMRRC self-regulatory club Pocket Option cites in some marketing materials is not a national financial authority either.

Two Active FCA Warnings, Updated In 2026

The UK Financial Conduct Authority has published two warnings: PocketOption (first published 29 September 2021, last updated 10 February 2026) and Pocket Option FX (12 September 2023). Both confirm the firm is not authorised and is targeting UK residents without permission. UK traders dealing with the firm have no protection from the Financial Ombudsman Service or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

Beyond the FCA, public notices have also been issued by the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Pocket Option appears on the CFTC RED List of foreign entities soliciting US residents without registration), Belgium’s FSMA (June 2023, irregular trading platforms list), the British Columbia Securities Commission, and Italy’s CONSOB.

Top traffic sources by country (organic plus paid, 29 May 2026): Russia 71,063 (Bank of Russia warning), United States 53,431 organic + 41,251 paid Google Ads = 94,682 (CFTC RED List), Ukraine 41,737, Brazil 32,686 organic + 33,686 paid = 66,372 (self-declared blocked in Pocket Option’s own footer), India 20,189 (SEBI / RBI restrictions), Germany 11,290 (BaFin / ESMA binary options ban), Israel 4,895 organic + 3,170 paid (banned 2017 plus active criminal probe), Pakistan 2,390 organic + 12,768 paid (SBP forex restriction), United Kingdom 2,278 (two active FCA warnings), Australia 1,458 + 465 paid (ASIC binary options ban), Japan 560 (self-declared blocked in the footer).

AI search exposure: 1,074 citations across the major assistants

Pocket Option also surfaces in answer-engine results. Ahrefs Brand Radar shows 757 AI Overviews (Google) citations across 341 pages, 317 ChatGPT citations across 251 pages, 580 Perplexity citations across 358 pages, 234 Copilot citations across 108 pages, 958 Grok citations across 640 pages and 93 Gemini citations across 58 pages. AI assistants are surfacing this operator to users who would otherwise never encounter the FCA warnings or the Israeli criminal probe.

Pocket Option’s own footer reads: “This website does not provide service to residents of the EEA countries, USA, Israel, UK, Philippines, Japan and Brazil.” Ahrefs traffic data shows over 200,000 monthly visits arriving from exactly those disclaimed countries (US 94,682, Brazil 66,372, Germany 11,293, Israel 8,065, UK 2,278, Japan 560 and the wider EEA), with paid Google Ads campaigns funded into three of them. The contradiction is direct, recent and measurable.

Pocket Option footer disclaimer shown beside the Ahrefs traffic those disclaimed countries actually generate
Footer disclaimer alongside the Ahrefs traffic those countries actually generate.

Pro Tip from CleaRank: Treat any broker whose audited country-level traffic contradicts its own disclaimer as if it has already failed regulation. Tier-1 brokers like IC Markets, Fusion Markets or Darwinex use real IP-blocking and KYC gates to enforce country restrictions because their licenses require it.

Binary Options: A Product Banned Almost Everywhere

Pocket Option’s flagship product is the short-duration binary option, a yes-or-no contract on price movement over sixty seconds to a few minutes. Regulators have moved against it as a category: ESMA banned retail binary options across the EU in 2018, the FCA made the ban permanent in the UK in 2019, ASIC banned retail binary options in Australia in 2021, and Israel made them illegal in 2017. Canada, Belgium, France and the Netherlands have followed.

Payment Rails Built For Emerging Markets, Not For Audits

Pocket Option’s payment integrations target users in jurisdictions where regulated brokers cannot legally onboard them: Pix (Brazil), UPI (India, governed by RBI), easypaisa (Pakistan), bKash (Bangladesh), M-Pesa and MTN Mobile Money (sub-Saharan Africa), Mercado Pago (Latin America). Mobile-money and crypto rails are not designed for consumer chargeback rights, making fund recovery effectively impossible once the deposit clears.

Smart Pro Tip: If a broker only accepts crypto, mobile wallets and local rails like UPI or Pix, that is a structural sign that the operator is trying to evade chargeback protection. Stick to Tier-1 brokers that take SEPA, Faster Payments, Visa or Mastercard, and verify them with the CleaRank Broker Risk Scanner before depositing.

Customer Complaints: KYC Loops, Bonus Locks and Vanishing Withdrawals

Across Trustpilot, Reddit, Forex Peace Army and WikiFX, the complaint pattern is consistent:

  • Bonus traps. Deposit bonuses (up to 100 percent) carry hidden volume requirements that lock the bonus and the original deposit.
  • Selfie loops. Verified clients are asked to repeat KYC at withdrawal time, each cycle resetting the ticket.
  • Account terminations after wins. Profitable accounts get flagged for “abuse” or “market timing” and balances are frozen.
  • Spread widening on close. Multiple users describe extreme spread changes in the final seconds of short options, structurally possible because Pocket Option is the counterparty.
  • Recovery offers in parallel. Within weeks of complaining publicly, victims report being contacted by “recovery agents” promising fund recovery for an up-front fee. These are second-layer concerns.

Action Steps If You Are Already a Pocket Option Customer

  • Stop depositing immediately. Do not add another cent regardless of any “bonus” or recovery promise.
  • Preserve every record. Save deposit confirmations, chat logs, KYC submissions, every email and every screenshot.
  • File a chargeback fast. If you deposited by Visa or Mastercard, contact your issuing bank now. The dispute window is typically 120 to 180 days from the deposit date.
  • Report the firm. UK: FCA Report an unauthorised firm. US: CFTC SmartCheck. Israel: Israel Securities Authority (especially relevant given the active criminal probe). EU: your national regulator and ESMA.
  • Avoid recovery offers. Anyone offering guaranteed fund recovery for an up-front fee is running a second compliance concern.

Our Verdict for Pocket Option

Pocket Option’s 0.3 / 5 CLEAR™ Score reflects an operator that has industrialised the offshore binary options model. Two live FCA warnings updated as recently as February 2026. CFTC RED List entry. FSMA Belgium compliance irregularity-platform listing. CONSOB and ASC Canada notices. An Israeli criminal probe into illegal marketing. A MISA license that was suspended in 2023 and is still being displayed in 2026. A four-jurisdiction shell stack hiding Infinite Trade LLC. Half a million monthly visits routed through countries the broker’s own footer says it does not serve. A product category banned for retail across the EU, UK, Australia, Canada and Israel.

Avoid Pocket Option, full stop. For short-term volatility exposure use a CLEAR™-certified Tier-1 regulated broker such as IC Markets (ASIC), Fusion Markets (ASIC) or Darwinex (FCA). Verify any broker through the CleaRank Broker Risk Scanner before depositing.

Pocket Option FAQs

Is Pocket Option regulated in 2026?

No. Pocket Option holds no Tier-1 license. The MISA license it still displays on its website was suspended on 11 July 2023. The FCA, CFTC, ASIC, CySEC, BaFin and Bank of Russia have all confirmed the firm is not authorised in their jurisdictions, and the Israel Securities Authority has opened a criminal probe.

Who operates Pocket Option?

Infinite Trade LLC, registered through a chain of offshore entities including Gembell Limited (Marshall Islands), PO Trade Limited (St. Vincent and the Grenadines, 793 LLC 2021), a Saint Lucia drop-address, and a suspended MISA license on the Comoros island of Mwali. Tifiya Group s.r.o. (Czech Republic) is linked to payment flows.

Why is the Israel Securities Authority investigating Pocket Option?

Israel made binary options illegal for residents in 2017. Pocket Option has continued to acquire Israeli users through both SEO and paid Google Ads, drawing the attention of the Israel Securities Authority which has now opened a criminal probe into illegal binary options marketing.

Is the MISA license valid?

No. The Mwali International Services Authority suspended Infinite Trade LLC’s license on 11 July 2023. Pocket Option continues to display the suspended license on its website. Separately, the Central Bank of Comoros has publicly stated that MISA is not a legitimate financial regulator.

Is Pocket Option safe?

No. With a 0.3 / 5 CLEAR™ Score, two live FCA warnings, an Israeli criminal probe, a suspended MISA license still being misrepresented, and well-documented withdrawal blocks, trading with Pocket Option means accepting zero investor protection and no functional recourse if funds are blocked.

Can I withdraw funds from Pocket Option?

Small early withdrawals do clear. Larger withdrawals trigger KYC loops, bonus-related lock-ins, frozen profitable accounts and silent ticket closures. The complaint pattern across Trustpilot, Reddit, Forex Peace Army and WikiFX is consistent.

Is Pocket Option an FCA-regulated broker?

No. Two formal FCA warnings: “PocketOption” last updated 10 February 2026, and “Pocket Option FX” 12 September 2023. Both confirm the firm is not authorised by the FCA and is targeting UK residents without permission.
