Alpha Capital Group Review 2026

Alpha Capital Group exploded onto the scene in 2021 and now has over 100,000 traders logging in every month trying to prove their worth. They hail from London and specialize in forex, indices, and commodities trading. If you pass their tricky evaluation models you qualify to become an  “Alpha Analyst”,  receiving scalable capital and an 80% profit split. During our robust 3-month evaluation, we found their multi-platform flexibility (MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and their upcoming Alpha Trader) and robust educational tools to be standout features. However, challenges like high evaluation fees for larger accounts and regional support disparities held back a perfect CLEAR™ score.

Why Trade with Alpha Capital Group?

Alpha Capital Group brings a unique concept to proprietary trading by referring to traders who pass the evaluation process as “Qualified Alpha Analysts” which aligns with their vision of treating traders as partners. But vision alone is never enough to become an industry leader, it must be accompanied by standout features. During testing, we appreciated the zero commission on raw spreads and the freedom to trade news events without restrictions. But their real unique selling point is their blend of institutional-grade trading platforms and tools combined with a collaborative community. They are also powered by AGC Markets, a Tier 3 FSA (Seychelles) regulated broker, which at least adds some layer of credibility in the mostly unregulated prop industry. Another significant standout feature is their in-house developed Alpha Trader platform, which means that they are at the forefront of technological innovation.

Reputation: Powered by Regulated Broker

(CLEAR™ Score: 4.7)

Alpha Capital Group is powered by ACG Markets, a Tier 3 regulated broker (FSA Seychelles), which significantly bolsters credibility in the widely unregulated prop industry. In addition,

using our Verified Feedback™ AI tool, we investigated and verified thousands of reviews and found Alpha Capital hailed for its well structured profit splits, educational resources, and responsive Discord community. Traders highlighted the firm’s proactive customer service during market volatility. However, some cited frustration with sudden rule updates, such as adjustments to trailing thresholds.

What Traders Loved

  • Transparent 80% profit splits with no hidden fees.
  • Free Autochartist access and real-time market tools.
  • Active community engagement on Discord and YouTube.
  • Availability of the popular MetaTrader 5 Platform.

What Traders Hated

  • Inconsistent payout speeds for international traders.
  • Limited weekend customer support.
  • Steep evaluation costs, which can add up really fast.

Full Website Audit

We also conducted a complete website audit on Alpha Capital Group using a reputable SEO tool, Ahrefs. The results added to the firm’s credibility:

  • They experienced significant and consistent organic traffic growth, indicating their popularity in the prop trading sphere. Their most active region is the United Kingdom which accounts for over 30% of their organic website visitors. This makes sense as they are also headquartered in London, UK..
  • The audit also indicated that Alpha Capital does Google Paid Search advertising. Why does this add credibility? Only licensed brokers and reputable prop firms are allowed to advertise their services on Google, which does a company background check before approving the ad account..

Account Types and Fees: Quality Comes at a Price

(CLEAR™ Score: 4.4)

We tested the various account types such as the Alpha One (1-step), Alpha Pro (2-step), and Alpha Three (3-step), over a 3-month period. Despite the strategic evaluation paths, which suit most trading styles, there was not much room for error. To put it simply—the high reset fees for the larger account types were simply too much for us to stomach. From pros to beginners we’ve all failed at some stage, so the high fees adversely impacted the overall CLEAR™ score. However, this was mostly offset by the powerful platform selection of MetaTrader 5, cTrader, or DxTrade, which deliver institutional grade tools that will satisfy any trading veteran.

What We Liked

  • “Analyst Partnership” Perks: No sneaky lifetime caps and keeping 80% profit splits forever sounds reasonable.
  • Platforms for Every Trader: MetaTrader 5 for algo geeks, cTrader for speed demons, DxTrade for institutional vibes.
  • Free Tools Galore: Autochartist patterns, live economic calendars, and TradingView integration—worth $200+/month elsewhere.
  • Reset Grace: Reset as much as you want. No “three strikes” nonsense.

What We Didn’t Like

  • Hefty Pricing Shock: The Alpha Pro 200K’s $977/month fee feels overpriced.
  • Static Leverage on Swing Accounts: 1:30 leverage? Many competing firms offer significantly more.
  • Regional Payout Delays: Non-EU traders face PayPal/Wire delays (5–7 days)—not ideal when you’re itching to cash out.

Trading Conditions: Engineered for Strategic Discipline

(CLEAR™ Score: 4.6)

Like most industry leading prop firms, Alpha Capital Group’s evaluation structure is designed fund traders prioritize a calculated strategy over reckless gambles. If you’re an adrenaline seeker, you won’t pass their stringent evaluation phases and rightly so. We found their 5:1 risk-reward mandate and 30% daily profit cap to be a smart move as it ensures traders avoid overexposure during volatile events, while still allowing ample room to capitalize on market-moving news and that’s exactly what we did. During testing, we generated $210 in profits on EUR/USD during the Fed speech, thanks to unrestricted news trading and stable platform performance.

We found their dynamic trailing threshold system to be a standout feature as it replaces rigid daily drawdowns. For example, a $50K Alpha One account has a trailing threshold of $3,000, adjusted against your peak equity. Dip below this line, and you’ll face a reset—no second chances. This system rewards disciplined risk management but demands vigilance during drawdowns.

What We Liked

  • Unrestricted News Trading: We managed to exploit Fed announcements and earnings shocks without platform limitations.
  • Trailing Thresholds Over Daily Drawdowns: We recovered from a $1,800 loss over three days without triggering a reset, this is exactly the type of flexibility that many prop firms lack.
  • Leverage Scalability: Up to 1:100 leverage on Alpha Pro accounts enabled us to try some aggressive gold futures scalps during Asian sessions without any hiccups.
  • No Minimum Trading Days: Passed a $10K evaluation in 4 days with focused, high-conviction trades.

What We Didn’t Like

  • 30% Daily Profit Cap: We can see the upside of this cap but for us it limited a $5,200 windfall on GBP/NFP to $1,560 (30% of total gains), stifling breakout strategies. Unfortunately, we experienced the same consistency rules with many other prop firms, Apex Trader Funding and Trade The Pool to name a few.
  • Static Account Rigidity: The $100K Alpha Swing account’s fixed 10% drawdown lacks the adaptability of trailing thresholds.
  • Reset Costs: $50 Resets add up quickly. Our three failed evaluations cost on the lowest account level cost as $150. Newbie traders can expect to be a few grand out of pocket at least.
  • Leverage Limitations: 1:30 leverage on Swing accounts feels restrictive compared to competitors offering 1:500 for forex.

Platforms: Triple Power for Precision, Speed, and Depth

(CLEAR™ Score: 4.8)

Alpha Capital Group’s powerful trio of platforms such as the MetaTrader 5 (MT5), cTrader, and DxTrade, covers the full spectrum of trading requirements, from algorithmic automation to institutional-grade order flow.  At the time of writing, their proprietary Alpha Trader platform was not yet fully released, so we didn’t include it in our scoring system. During our rigorous testing phase, we executed over 500 trades across forex, indices, and commodities, measuring speed, stability, and features. Here’s how each platform stacks up.

Testing Notes: cTrader froze for 8 seconds during an unexpected ECB policy shift but recovered without requiring a restart.

What We Liked

  • Autochartist Integration: We comfortably managed to identify a descending triangle on GBP/USD 12 hours pre-breakout, enabling a 65-pip profit.
  • MT5’s Backtesting Engine: We simulated 10 years of gold futures data in under a minute, validating long-term strategies efficiently. Everything works as expected.
  • cTrader’s Speed Edge: We executed 20 micro-lot NASDAQ trades in under 1 second during the US market open, that’s impressive speed for a prop firm.
  • DxTrade’s DOM Tools: We mimicked institutional workflows and managed a 100-lot SPX500 position using real-time order book depth.
  • Cross-Platform Flexibility: We monitored MT5 algos on mobile and simultaneously scalped crude oil via cTrader’s browser platform.

What We Didn’t Like

  • DxTrade’s Mobile Gap: No app support forced reliance on desktop or unstable browser connections during commutes.
  • MT5’s Scripting Limitations: Coding custom indicators required outdated MQL5 syntax, slowing strategy development.
  • cTrader’s Chart Sync Issues: Desktop-drawn trendlines failed to appear on mobile, disrupting multi-device analysis.
  • DxTrade’s Speed Tradeoff: 35ms execution lagged behind cTrader, making it unsuitable for micro-scalping.

Payout Process: Reliable But No Crypto Payouts

(CLEAR™ Score: 4.1)

If you’re based in the UK the payout process is smooth and consistent— our ACH transfer was  processed within 2 business days after meeting the trailing threshold. However, international traders face multiple hurdles with withdrawals via wire transfers taking up to 5–7 business days, and a 1.5% fee applies for currency conversions. Also the first three payouts require locking 10% of profits as a “safety reserve,” which protects against sudden drawdowns but ties up liquidity for new traders. While there are no withdrawal windows or lifetime caps which is great, the $500 minimum per payout forces small-balance traders to wait weeks to access earnings.

What We Liked

  • Uncapped Profit Potential: No lifetime limits, you keep 80% of all profits indefinitely.
  • Flexible Withdrawal Timing: Request payouts anytime after passing evaluations, with no monthly windows.

What We Didn’t Like

  • $500 Minimum Withdrawal: Traders with smaller balances must wait multiple cycles to cash out.
  • 10% Safety Reserve: Locks $500 of a $5,000 payout, limiting reinvestment flexibility.
  • International Delays: 5–7-day waits for wire transfers, plus 1.5% FX fees, strain global accessibility.
  • No Third-Party Wallets: PayPal, Skrill, and crypto payouts are unsupported, forcing reliance on slow wires.

Account Opening: Fast Setup with Hidden Hurdles

(CLEAR™ Score: 4.5)

We activated a $50K Alpha One evaluation in under 6 minutes with no upfront KYC, which is refreshingly fast. But while the process is seamless for beginners, murky fee disclosures and post-funding requirements could be a significant hurdle for unwary traders.

Step 2: Platform Setup

  • Instant Access: Receive MT5, cTrader, or DxTrade credentials via email within 2 hours.
  • Connect Software:
  • MT5: Use provided login to link with TradingView or install NinjaTrader via free license. For cTrader sync with browser or mobile app using auto-generated API keys.

Step 3: Evaluation Phase

  • Trade Simulated Account: Meet profit targets (e.g., $5,000 for Alpha One 50K) without breaching trailing thresholds.
  • Key Rules:
  • 5:1 Risk-Reward Ratio: Risk no more than $100 per $500 profit target.
  • 30% Daily Profit Cap: Single-day gains can’t exceed 30% of total profits, this is more restrictive compared to Bulenox which employs consistency rule of 40%.
  • No Minimum Trading Days: Pass evaluations in as little as 1 day.
  • Reset Options: Failed? Pay $50 to restart (unlimited retries).

Step 4: Funded Account Activation

  • Pass Evaluation: Account resets to starting balance with live trailing thresholds.
  • Monthly Renewal Fees: $97(MT5) or $127 (cTrader) per funded account.
  • Withdraw Profits: Request payouts anytime after maintaining a 10% safety reserve.

What We Liked

  • 6-Minute Setup: No KYC for evaluations meant trading within minutes.
  • Multi-Platform Support: Switched between MT5 and cTrader mid-evaluation without penalties.

What We Didn’t Like

  • Undisclosed Renewal Fees: Funded accounts incur $97–$127/month charges, buried in terms.
  • KYC Delays for Payouts: Full verification (ID, proof of address) required post-evaluation, adding 48-hour delays.
  • Static Leverage Traps: Alpha Swing accounts lock leverage at 1:30, limiting volatility plays.

Customer Support: Solid but Geographically Biased

(CLEAR™ Score: 4.0)

We received swift resolutions by Alpha Capital Group’s support team for most of our routine queries. During testing, our password resets and platform access issues were resolved via 24/7 live chat in under 5 minutes. However, our payout-related tickets from Asia-Pacific regions languished for more than 72 hours, highlighting a stark geographic bias. We found that EU traders enjoy prioritized responses, while others face generic FAQ reroutes and language barriers.

Alpha Capital Group FAQ

Alpha Capital Group launched in November 2021 in London UK. The firm quickly gained traction for its transparent, trader-first approach.

Co-founded by George Kohler (Managing Director) and Andrew Blaylock (Director), both veterans in finance and brokerage operations. George’s trading expertise and Andrew’s institutional background shaped the firm’s unique “Analyst Partnership” model.

Trades are executed through ACG Markets, Alpha Capital’s sister company. ACG Markets is regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in Seychelles (License SD182), a Tier 3 regulatory body that ensures a relatively secure and compliant trading environment.

Yes. Alpha Capital is CLEAR™ certified (4.4/5) and is powered by ACG Markets which  operates under FSA Seychelles regulatory oversight. During testing, payouts were processed reliably, and terms of service showed no hidden traps.

Headquartered in London, UK, with offices at Tower 42, 25 Old Broad Street. The firm serves traders globally, excluding restricted regions like the U.S. and Canada.

Traders pass a 1–3-step evaluation (depending on account tier) to earn funded accounts. You keep 80% of profits with no lifetime caps. Evaluations require meeting profit targets while adhering to trailing thresholds and risk rules.

MetaTrader 5 (algorithmic trading), cTrader (high-frequency scalping), DxTrade (institutional order flow), Alpha Trader – coming soon (proprietary platform with TradingView integration).

You keep 80% of all profits, indefinitely. No “scaling plans” or reductions over time—a rare perk in the prop industry.

Evaluation fees are transparent, but funded accounts incur monthly renewal costs ($97–$127/month). Resets cost $50, and international wire withdrawals have 1.5% FX fees.

Domestic (UK/EU): 2 business days via bank transfer.
International: 5–7 business days + 1.5% FX fees.
Pro Tip: First three payouts lock 10% of profits as a “safety reserve.”

Yes! Alpha Capital accepts traders from 150+ countries, including regions like Iran* (*VPN required). However, support and payout delays are common outside the EU/UK.

Trailing Thresholds: 6%–10% of account size, adjusted against peak balance.
5:1 Risk-Reward: Max 100 risk per 100 risk per 500 profit target.
30% Daily Profit Cap: No single day’s gains can exceed 30% of total profits.

Absolutely. Unlike many prop firms, Alpha Capital allows unrestricted news and holiday trading.

Reset for $50 (unlimited retries). No lifetime bans—ideal for refining strategies.
